Key notes for Vtiger CRM 7.4 → 7.5 upgrade:
Webforms: If you use webforms, test each one after upgrading. The captcha implementation changed and some older webforms may need to be recreated.
Email templates: Templates using the old
%FIELDNAME% placeholder syntax may not parse correctly in 7.5. The correct syntax is
{fieldname} (curly braces, no percent signs).
PHP version: Vtiger CRM 7.5 supports PHP 7.4. PHP 8.0 is not officially supported in 7.5 — upgrade to Vtiger CRM 8.x if you need PHP 8.
Post-upgrade repair steps:
Settings → Repair → Rebuild Module Relationships
Settings → Repair → Re-build Extension Tables
Settings → Repair → Quick Repair and Rebuild
Check for custom module compatibility:
